RECOVERY PREHABILITATION & REHABILITATION

PREHABILITATION

Prehabilitation and rehabilitation are part of the recovery process.
Prehabilitation uses a proactive approach through exercises that would lessen the chances of an injury and to prepare the mind and body for the physical activity intended.

These are exercises performed prior to the start of a workout to warm up smaller muscle groups and train techniques in an attempt to optimise movement efficiently and safely.

REHABILITATION

Meanwhile, rehabilitation uses a remedial approach to help those who have sustained or rebounded from an injury. The goal is to restore movement and range of motion while strengthening areas that need stabilisation in order to regain optimal movement pattern.

Why should Prehability be considered as training?

As people adapt to the physical demands of daily lifestyle, it is inevitable to avoid negative effects within their bodies: tightness of muscle groups or imbalances of strength, coordination or muscle stabilisation. These imbalances are often the root of many training injuries, which may put clients at a greater risk because of how it has been nurtured into daily habits.

HOW CAN PREHABILITATION HELP?

Prehabilitation helps an individual to develop and maintain a consistent approach on movement habits, which is foundationally built on the right principle: biological patterns of human movement.

PERSONALISED
Each prehab program is personalized to address the total body balance, sports/goals specific needs and one's weaknesses
STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY
The outcome of the program will help to balance the range of motion, strength, coordination, and stabilisation.
OBSERVE SEGMENTATION
When assessing a client's biomechanics, we need to observe respective body segmentations as the basic premise.
IMBALANCES
Do you know what are your musculoskeletal imbalances?
